Nutrition:
Nutrition is the provision, to cells and organisms, of the materials necessary (in the form of food) to support life. Many common health problems can be prevented or alleviated with good nutrition.
An organism's diet is what it eats. Dietitians are health professionals who specialize in human nutrition, meal planning, economics, preparation, and so on. They are trained to provide safe evidence-based dietary advice and management to individuals as well as to institutions.
Metabolism:
Metabolism is the set of chemical reactions that occur in living organisms in order to maintain life. These processes allow organisms to grow and reproduce, maintain their structures, and respond to their environments. Metabolism is usually divided into two categories. Catabolism breaks down large molecules, for example to harvest energy in cellular respiration. Anabolism, on the other hand, uses energy to construct components of cells such as proteins and nucleic acids.
A. Apetite Supressants & Anti Obesity:
Obesity is a condition in which the natural energy reserve, stored in the fatty tissue of humans and other mammals, is increased to a point where it is associated with certain health conditions or increased mortality.
AntiObesity drugs are Medication most commonly prescribed for diet/exercise-resistant obesity is orlistat (Xenical, which reduces intestinal fat absorption by inhibiting pancreatic lipase) and sibutramine (Reductil, Meridia, an anorectic). Weight loss with these drugs is modest, and over the longer term average weight loss on orlistat is 2.9 kg, sibutramine 4.2 kg and rimonabant 4.7 kg. Orlistat and rimonabant lead to a reduced incidence of diabetes, and all drugs have some effect on lipoproteins (different forms of cholesterol). Examples of Apetite Supressants & Anti Obesity are as follows:
| Brand Names |
Generic Prescription (Rx) Drugs |
| meridia | sibutramine hcl |
B. Minerals:
Dietary minerals are the chemical elements required by living organisms, other than the four elements carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen which are present in common organic molecules. The term "mineral" is archaic, since the intent of the definition is to describe ions, not chemical compounds or actual minerals. Some dietitians recommend that these heavier elements should be supplied by ingesting specific foods, compounds, and sometimes including even minerals, such as calcium carbonate. Sometimes these "minerals" come from natural sources such as ground oyster shells. Sometimes minerals are added to the diet separately from food, such as mineral supplements, the most famous being iodine in "iodized salt." Examples of Minerals are as follows:
| Brand Names |
Generic Prescription (Rx) Drugs |
| fosamax | alendronate |
| alpha-lipolic acid | alpha lipolic acid |
| evista | raloxifene |

C. Vitamin
A vitamin is an organic compound required as a nutrient in tiny amounts by an organism. A compound is called a vitamin when it cannot be synthesized in sufficient quantities by an organism, and must be obtained from the diet. Thus, the term is conditional both on the circumstances and the particular organism. Examples of Vitamin are as follows:
| Brand Names |
Generic Prescription (Rx) Drugs |
| alpha-lipolic acid |
alpha lipolic acid |
| evista |
raloxifene |
